Parliamentary Front to Combat Smuggling and Counterfeiting takes office in Brasília-DF

It was launched on Thursday, May 14 , the Parliamentary Front to Combat Smuggling and Counterfeiting , whose main objectives are to define and propose measures to combat these crimes, and demand government effective actions to contain the problem and its negative impact on society.

Congressman Efraim Filho , who chairs the Parliamentary Front , filed the law project 1530/15 , which aims to toughen the fight against smuggling , through administrative and criminal sanctions to those involved.

The Brazilian Institute for Ethics in Competition (ETCO) and the National Forum Against Piracy and Illegality (FNCP) , organized the Movement in Defense of the Legal Market in Brazil , in September 2014, with the support of over 70 entities and associations of several productive sectors. The Brand Protection Group - BPG is on the list of entities that support the Movement and was present at the event represented by its Executive Secretary, Mr. Fernando Costa and Mr. Luiz Claudio Gare, Legal Counsel.
