Trucks seized in Mineiros were taking about R$ 6 million of smuggled cigarettes

According to PRF, the good were smuggled from Paraguay

Two trucks loaded with cigarettes valued at about R $ 6 million were seized, on Thursday night (17), at BR-364, in Mineiros, in the southern region of the state. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the products, about 2,500 boxes, were smuggled from Paraguay.

The first vehicle seized was a Volvo Truck and the 28-year-old driver said he took the it in Campo Grande (MS) and would deliver it to Rio Verde (GO). He also said that for transportation he would receive R$ 3 thousand. The second truck also left Campo Grande (MS) for Rio de Janeiro (RJ and the driver who would receive R$ 4 thousand for transportation.

According to the PRF, in the last ten days were seized more than R$ 20 million in smuggled cigarettes in the State. The vehicles and the drivers were sent to the Federal Police in Jataí.
