PRF seizes 12,300 pairs of counterfeit sneakers that would be sold at Feira de Santana

Irregular material was intercepted in Vitória da Conquista.

A cargo with 12,300 pairs of counterfeit sneakers that would be sold in Feira de Santana was seized on Saturday (8) in Vitória da Conquista, in southwest Bahia. According to the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the material - which makes the consumer often buy the product without knowing the counterfeit, paying the price of a real commodity - was in a Volvo / FH 440 truck, driven by a 39-year-old man . The interception of the irregular material occurred around 11 pm, when PRFs performed ostensible inspection in front of the police unit (Km 830 - BR 116).

During the approach to the vehicle, it was observed that the goods transported did not have an invoice. "When checking the cargo, it was possible to verify that it was more than 12,000 pairs of counterfeit sneakers of world famous brands (Nike, Asics, etc.) that were being transported from the city of Nova Serrana (MG) to be sold in the city of Feira de Santana (BA) ", informs the PRF in a note.

Given the facts, the driver and other occupants of the truck were presented with the goods seized at the Civil Police Station.
