Federal Revenue and PRF operation seizes almost R$ 5 million in products in Porto Velho capital.

Almost R$ 5 million in goods were seized this Monday morning (20), during Operation Iclosed, triggered by the Federal Revenue with the support of the Federal Highway Police (PRF), to act in repression of smuggling and tax evasion in Porto Velho. In total, six stores were inspected. Commercial establishments are located on popular shopping avenues such as 7 de Setembro, José Bonifácio and Jatuarana.

 

According to the Police, 681 bags of products, weighing about 9 tons, were seized. In a preliminary analysis, the goods were valued at approximately R$ 5 million. Among the objects are counterfeit toys, TV Box, electronic cigarettes and various electronic equipment.

 

Nobody was detained, and the administrative and procedural procedures will be the responsibility of the Federal Revenue. The operation’s name, called the iClosed Operation, refers to Apple products that are constantly targeted for counterfeiting.
