About R$ 250 thousand in goods seized by the Federal Revenue will be given to hospitals in the South of Minas Gerais on Friday (29). The delivery will be held in Poços de Caldas (MG), around 11am.
According to the Federal Revenue, the products given are mobile phones, cables, headphones, cell phone accessories, video games and accessories, bags, clothing, toys, watches, LED panels, parasols, music boxes, luminaires, laser pen, hair clippers, electric shavers, dryers among other electronic, office and computer items.
The goods were seized during inspections of the entity. Also according to the Revenue, the goal is that the goods are used to meet the public and social interest.
"The donation of these goods is being carried out at a time when institutions are being demanded due to the pandemic. These goods may be incorporated into the heritage of hospitals or made available in a bazaar, and the resource collected is entirely for health institutions." Explained the delegate of the Internal Revenue Service in Varginha, auditor-fiscal Michel Lopes Teodoro.
The hospitals in southern Minas Gerais that will receive donations are: Santa Casa de Poços de Caldas, Hospital Bom Pastor de Varginha, Hospital Regional do Sul de Minas, Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Guaxupé and Santa Casa de Misericórdia de São Sebastião do Paraíso. In addition to the hospitals, Ufla will also receive some of the goods.
