Targets in Aparecida and Roseira were investigated for making counterfeit clothes from big brands for sale in the region.
An action by the Civil Police of São Paulo against counterfeiting seized thousands of pieces of clothing in Aparecida and Roseira this Wednesday morning (18th). According to the police, at the addresses of the seizures there were equipments to forge designer items.
The action was carried out by a team of police officers investigating piracy crimes in the region. According to them, they were investigating the sale of pirated products and tracked down the addresses where counterfeits were made.
Among the addresses were clothing factories in the neighborhoods of Jardim Paraíba and Itaguaçu, in Aparecida; and Jardim São Pedro, in Roseira. Thousands of counterfeit soccer team jerseys, equipment and labels were seized at the sites.
The three men responsible for the sites were arrested and taken to the police station for clarification. According to the police, they can be held liable for crimes against intellectual property.
