Five points of sale were identified in Leblon, Ipanema, Copacabana, Botafogo and Barra da Tijuca.
The Police Department of Repression of Crimes Against Immaterial Property (DRCPIM) carried out an operation, on the morning of Wednesday (10/2), against stores that were selling counterfeit products of high standard brands in noble neighborhoods of the state capital.
Police officers were in establishments in Leblon, Ipanema, Copacabana, Botafogo and Barra da Tijuca. The products were also sold in malls in the south and west.
The agents seized materials whose sale value was around R$ 3 million. According to the investigations, bags and jewelry, for example, which in the original versions cost from R $ 3 thousand to R $ 30 thousand, were put on sale for the value of R $ 300.
